What's Egg Dash game?

Egg Dash puts a painted egg on a side-scrolling course that ends at a party table. The egg hops. Spikes, pits, and traps that move do the damage. Easter eggs sit off the main line. Cupcakes sit on the route as a second goal you can ignore if you only want the finish.

The obstacle bursts follow the music, so a triple spike row usually arrives on a beat you can hear coming. Some stretches also change how the egg moves. The button stays the same. The arc does not. Feel that change for one run before you leave the safe line for a pickup.

There are four built-in maps. Stars on the select screen are the difficulty hint. You do not have to clear them in a locked order once a map is available.

  • Shell Shock: wider gaps and basic spikes, the map for learning hop spacing.
  • Egg Static: triple spikes, jump pads, and taller pillars.
  • Cracked Up: rings, long spike traps, and the fastest of the first three.
  • Fourth stage: the difficulty jump after those three. It is meaner than the star count on the earlier maps suggests.

Finish means the egg reaches the table in one piece. You can replay a map for a cleaner line or for eggs you skipped.

  • Normal: any hit sends you to the start of that stage.
  • Practice: checkpoints let you resume near the last safe spot.

Learn a long section in Practice, then switch to Normal when you want the clear to count as one run.

A jump pad throws the egg across a spike field. A ring adds air if you meet it on time. A pillar is how you climb over a saw instead of threading the floor. After a shape change, the same pad can overshoot. Do not trust the spacing from the previous form.

Hidden eggs pay out when you collect them. Cupcakes fill the party-table goal. Leaving them makes the finish easier. Taking them forces the tighter path.

The editor is for after the four maps. Place blocks and spikes, save the layout, and send it to someone else. The built-in set is short. The editor is what keeps the game open after Cracked Up.

  • Press Spacebar, the up arrow, any keyboard key, or the left mouse button to jump.
  • On a phone, tap the screen.

Watch the next hazard. The egg will follow the press you already made.
